September 16, 2025 – Huzhou, Zhejiang – A delegation from Germany’s DVGW CERT GMBH, led by Mr. Werner Kinnen, Head of DVGW CERT GMBH, and Mr. Italo Pezzutto, Technical Expert for Water, Gas, and UBA Water Quality, together with Ms. Coco Wang, General Manager of Shanghai Zechang Business Consulting Co., Ltd., visited the Zhejiang base of AKAN Group for an on-site inspection and in-depth discussions. They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Zheng Wei, Deputy General Manager of AKAN Group, and Mr. Qiu Qiaoping, Head of the R&D and Technology Department. Both sides engaged in extensive discussions on technological innovation, product quality, and future cooperation, followed by a certificate award ceremony and a tour of the production facilities.

Founded in 1859, DVGW (German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing expertise and economic development in the water and gas sectors, with a strong focus on safety, hygiene, and environmental protection. Its product certification system (DVGW Certification) has not only laid a solid foundation for the safety and reliability of Germany’s utilities industry, but also a key ‘entry certificate’ for products to access European and global high-end water/gas markets.

The visit began with a roundtable meeting, during which both parties held in-depth discussions on topics including industry standard upgrades, cross-recognition of technical certifications, and international market collaboration. Following the meeting, Mr. Werner Kinnen and Mr. Italo Pezzutto, on behalf of DVGW CERT GMBH, officially presented AKAN (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd. with the DVGW Certificate (Certificate of Honor) and a trophy.

DVGW Certificate requires rigorous testing by independent laboratories, including mechanical performance evaluations and hygiene testing, making it one of the most authoritative certifications in the industry. The awarding of this certificate not only demonstrates the solid foundation of cooperation between the two sides but also represents strong recognition of AKAN Group’s technological capabilities.

After the awarding ceremony, the delegation toured AKAN Group’s showroom and modern production workshops at the Zhejiang base, accompanied by Deputy General Manager Zheng Wei. Mr. Qiu Qiaoping gave an in-depth introduction to the company’s core technologies in pipeline systems and its full product portfolio, highlighting the end-to-end quality control system from raw materials to finished products.

This visit not only deepened the cooperation and friendship between AKAN Group and DVGW but also marked AKAN Group’s official achievement of the internationally recognized DVGW Certification. It is both a high-level recognition of the company’s technological strength and product quality, and a demonstration that AKAN’s products have reached world-class standards. Looking ahead, both parties will continue to drive technological innovation and standards alignment, jointly providing safer and more reliable fluid transportation solutions to the global market, and opening a new chapter of win-win cooperation.
