1. Overview of PERT Series Pipe Classification

PERT (Polyethylene of Raised Temperature resistance) pipes are mainstream high-temperature-resistant polyethylene pipeline materials widely used in floor heating and domestic water supply projects. According to industry standardized classification standards, PERT pipes are divided into two core series: PERT I and PERT II. The two series adopt different raw material formulas and molecular modification technologies, forming obvious hierarchical differences in temperature resistance, creep resistance and service life.

In addition to material grade classification, PERT pipes can be further subdivided by wall structure, including single-layer pipe, three-layer composite pipe, five-layer composite pipe and capillary pipe. This dual classification system of "series grade + structural layer" enables PERT products to accurately cover conventional home decoration, high-standard engineering, special paving and other diversified application scenarios.

2. Classification and Core Characteristics of PERT I Series Pipes

PERT I series is a conventional high-quality temperature-resistant pipe, which is developed for ordinary floor heating and daily domestic water supply scenarios. It features stable basic performance, high cost performance and strong construction adaptability, meeting the daily operation needs of most conventional pipeline systems.

2.1 PERT I Single-layer Pipe

PERT I single-layer pipe adopts an integrated solid-wall one-piece molding process with a pure PE-RT homogeneous structure. The pipe wall is uniform and free of delamination, with good flexibility and pressure resistance. It is easy to bend and construct on site, not easy to rebound, and suitable for conventional household floor heating and indoor cold and hot water branch pipelines. It is the most widely used universal PERT pipe in the home decoration industry.

2.2 PERT I Three-layer Pipe

The PERT I three-layer composite pipe adopts a three-layer symmetrical structure of outer protective layer, middle reinforced layer and inner water delivery layer. The middle special reinforced layer effectively improves the overall structural stability of the pipe body, enhances oxidation resistance and external impact resistance. Compared with single-layer pipes, it has stronger aging resistance and more stable long-term operation performance, suitable for medium and long-term household water supply and floor heating systems.

2.3 PERT I Five-layer Pipe

PERT I five-layer pipe is a multi-layer composite enhanced product with an additional high-barrier functional layer on the basis of conventional layers. The multi-layer laminated structure greatly improves the oxygen barrier, anti-permeation and corrosion resistance of the pipe wall. It can effectively prevent oxygen infiltration from causing scale and bacterial growth in the pipeline system, reduce pipeline aging, and is suitable for high-standard household floor heating and closed water circulation systems.

2.4 PERT I Capillary Pipe

PERT I capillary pipe is an ultra-small-diameter flexible pipe customized for special fine paving scenarios. It has ultra-high flexibility, small bending radius and no dead-angle paving. It is mainly used for precision floor heating, wall surface constant temperature systems, greenhouse constant temperature water systems and other fine temperature control scenes, realizing uniform and efficient heat transfer.

3. Classification and Core Characteristics of PERT II Series Pipes

PERT II series is an upgraded engineering-grade temperature-resistant pipe. It adopts upgraded high-purity modified polyethylene raw materials and optimized molecular structure design. Compared with PERT I series, it has higher temperature resistance, stronger creep resistance and higher safety factor, and is oriented to high-temperature, high-pressure and long-cycle complex engineering working conditions.

3.1 PERT II Single-layer Pipe

PERT II single-layer pipe is made of upgraded high-stability PE-RT II special raw materials. Through molecular rearrangement and modification technology, the product’s high-temperature resistance and long-term pressure-bearing stability are greatly improved. It can operate stably under long-term high-temperature water supply conditions, effectively avoiding pipe deformation and fatigue aging. It is suitable for high-standard residential floor heating and high-frequency hot water supply pipelines.

3.2 PERT II Three-layer Pipe

PERT II three-layer composite pipe combines upgraded II-grade raw materials with a three-layer reinforced structure. The outer layer is wear-resistant and anti-aging, the middle layer is structurally reinforced, and the inner layer is high-temperature resistant and hygienic. The overall thermal stability and mechanical strength are significantly improved. It can adapt to long-term high-temperature and high-load operation, and is widely used in commercial buildings, office buildings and medium-sized engineering floor heating and water supply systems.

3.3 PERT II Five-layer Pipe

PERT II five-layer pipe is a high-end engineering full-reinforced pipe. The multi-layer composite barrier structure realizes multi-dimensional upgrades of oxygen resistance, heat insulation, anti-aging and pressure resistance. It has ultra-long service life and extremely low creep deformation rate, and can operate stably for a long time in harsh working environments such as high temperature, high pressure and large temperature difference. It is the preferred product for large commercial projects, municipal supporting water supply and high-end real estate supporting pipeline systems.

4. Essential Differences Between PERT I and PERT II Series

There are essential performance and grade differences between PERT I and PERT II series, which are the core basis for distinguishing conventional household use and engineering high-standard use.

In terms of raw materials and molecular stability, PERT I adopts conventional modified raw materials with stable basic performance, while PERT II adopts high-purity upgraded formula, with more compact molecular structure and stronger structural stability. In terms of temperature and pressure resistance, PERT I is suitable for conventional normal-temperature and medium-temperature working conditions, while PERT II can withstand long-term high-temperature operation and has higher pressure-bearing safety factor.

In terms of service life and working conditions, PERT I series meets the conventional service life requirements of home decoration scenarios, while PERT II series has stronger anti-fatigue and anti-aging capabilities, adapting to long-term continuous operation of complex engineering projects.
