I Product Introduction
POLYGON Pe-xb pipe, using one step method (MONSOIL) technology, adding silane modified raw materials, through high temperature steam fully cross-linked to form a stable three-dimensional network structure, so that crosslinked polyethylene has excellent physical and chemical properties, high temperature resistance, shape memory performance. Good flexibility for construction. PEXb pipe is widely used in residential and commercial hot/cold water delivery, radiator heating systems, underfloor heating, fire protection systems, and municipal water service lines.
I Product Features
1. Silane Cross-linking Technology for Superior Performance
PEXb pipe is manufactured using the silane cross-linking method, achieving a cross-linking degree of over 65%. This “three-dimensional” cross-linked structure creates stronger molecular bonds, providing excellent high-temperature resistance (long-term 95°C), high-pressure resistance (over 20 bar at 20°C), and creep resistance. Design service life exceeds 50 years.
2. Exceptional Chlorine Resistance
PEXb pipe offers the highest-rated chlorine resistance, making it particularly suitable for long-term transmission of chlorinated municipal water. Compared to other PEX types, PEXb provides longer service life and more stable performance in chlorinated water environments.
3. Excellent Flexibility and Shape Memory
PEXb pipe offers good flexibility, easily bending around obstacles, reducing fitting usage and potential leak points. It also features unique “coil memory” characteristics, returning to its original shape after installation.
4. Corrosion Resistant and Scale Free
PEXb pipe resists acids, alkalis, and chemical corrosion—non-rusting and non-scaling. The smooth inner wall (low roughness) reduces flow resistance and pressure loss, maintaining high flow rates during long-term use.
5. Excellent Freeze Resistance
PEXb pipe offers freeze resistance—expanding slightly when water freezes and contracting back when thawed, effectively reducing burst risk. Operating temperature range from -40°C to 95°C, adapting to various climate conditions.
6. Quick Installation with Multiple Connection Methods
PEXb pipe is lightweight and flexible, enabling faster installation. Supports multiple connection methods: crimp connections, compression fittings, push-to-connect fittings—no heat fusion, no open flames, safe and convenient installation.

I FAQ
1. What’s the difference between PEXb and PEXa?
PEXa uses peroxide cross-linking (≥70% cross-linking), best flexibility, suitable for cold expansion. PEXb uses silane cross-linking (≥65% cross-linking), best chlorine resistance, suitable for crimp and compression connections. PEXb has higher density, smoother inner wall, lower pressure loss.
2. Can PEXb pipe use cold expansion connections?
Not recommended. Cold expansion is designed for PEXa pipe. Using cold expansion with PEXb may cause micro-cracking and leaks. PEXb is suitable for crimp, compression, and push-to-connect connections.
3. Why does PEXb have better chlorine resistance?
PEXb has higher density and more compact molecular structure, providing stronger resistance to chloride ions. This gives PEXb the highest chlorine resistance rating, ideal for chlorinated municipal water systems.
4. What is the service life of PEXb pipe?
Under normal conditions, PEXb pipe achieves 50+ years service life, due to excellent creep resistance, chlorine resistance, and corrosion resistance.
